Education: We spend around 16 to 20 years typically in education, most of which remains futile in career. In stead if we could let 8th graders start working and compensate by facilitating whenever on-the-job training and education services then the time, effort and money would be well spent. It appears we jail the kids more for our career needs than their education needs.
Marriage: How long do we need this mutual slavery, wherein we keep pretending that everything is alright, while we live a life of mutual hatred. We need to invent how we can help raise the kids without being jailed in a family.
Cruelty: We kill animals to satisfy our taste buds; if we call ourselves humans then we need to be sensitive as well. How hard is it to be a vegetarian, and even if it is, is it not high time we started respecting life all around us?
Economy: We started the trade centuries ago with exchanging objects. Then we thought a pseudo- symbol as currency would help in multi-party exchange of objects. We have complicated the economy to such an extent that it appears like weather, beyond control. Should we not keep this simple enough so that ordinary beings like I can understand it? Without this how can we untangle the threads that look ugly now?
Terrorism: Its so common to hear people blaming the security or intelligence for a bomb blast. How can the intelligence be so fool proof that it makes 100% correct guesses as to who the bad guys are, and what they have in the mind? Its easy to blame the intelligence scapegoat, however shouldn't we rise to the understanding that we are weaker than the insanity of few mad men? There is nothing to be ashamed about a flower to be vulnerable than a rock. The rock would dare not think of hurting a beautiful flower. For, if a blooming flower is killed, the rock will never be able to see that bloom - which was its only kind. The mad men hate us and want to kill us; they cannot withstand our blooming happiness. In stead of reacting with hatred towards them, we need to forgive them; which may as well be the biggest punishment we can give to an insane person. Wasn't this the punishment Jesus gave to us when he was killed, he said - God, forgive them, for they don't know what they are doing. To this day we are guilty of killing an innocent man. Since him billions of people died, one way or the other, however no one seem to have affected humanity by death as much as him. Obviously, the flower (us) may not get a chance to forgive after it has been hurt by a rock (insanity); can we not forgive them even before they hurt us, and continue to bloom - even if they hurt us? Can you imagine the power in bloom, knowing well that we may likely get killed and are defenseless?
Job: In this mysterious world, where we don't know our true roots, or where we go after our last breath, its foolish for us to demand an 8 hour work day. Where is the time for ones' own self?
It seems we childishly seem to be postponing the decisions to our child's generation, and imitators that they are, will postpone to their next generation. I can hear the whisper in the air, "Not now!".
